The Kist o Wild Grasses is held at Maggie’s Centre, Edinburgh, to be used as a personal prescription or in creative workshops.
The kist holds a collection of 50 poems and 50 photographs printed on Halmenhule Cotton Rag, pleasing to hold and loose leaf so they can be selected and used individually.
The Kist was made by Orkney Furniture maker Kevin Gauld.
The marram was harvested at Skaill, Deerness, Orkney (thanks to Sidney & Catherine Foubister for permission). The wood used is Orkney sycamore.
In the film you can watch Kevin collecting marram and making The Kist o Wild Grasses.

Film made by Mark Jenkins.
The Kist was supported by Creative Scotland.
